Transnationalism

During this class, students get acquainted with the concept of transnationalism. Firstly, they follow its development from 1990s to now. Then, different typologies of transnational engagements are suggested. The debate surrounding the tensions between transnationalism and integration/assimilation is addressed. Examples are provided.
