Labour market incorporation

23 Abril 2020, 17:00 Jennifer Leigh McGarrigle Montezuma de Carvalho

During this class, students acquire familiarity with the various forms of market incorporations for people who have experienced migrations. Firstly, a look at statistics permits to show that most TCMs indeed come to work, and achieve high level of occupation (despite down-skilling). Secondly, students will see that their position of the various labour markets are highly polarised (informal economy; low skilled jobs vs. high-skilled jobs). Reminders will be given regarding EU policies and directives, as well as the link between labour market incorporation and migration theories.
